Why Prefab Buildings Are More Secure Than You Believe

Posted by admin on August 23, 2019

Prefab buildings come with a variety of features, the best ones being that they are relocatable, durable and much more sustainable than other means of construction. Unfortunately, due to certain stereotypes, many believe prefab buildings are less secure than other buildings.

This is certainly not the case and here is why prefabricated constructions are much more secure than you might think.

Alarm Systems

Along with other conventional security measures, you can fit out your prefab construction with an alarm system which helps deter potential breaking and entering. Just because a building is relocatable, doesn’t mean it can’t be wired up with normal means of security.

As a matter of fact, it is recommended that you fit any prefab building you have with alarms as it is such a good security measure to have.

Card Key Locks

Much more effective than your traditional metal key, a card key is a pretty sophisticated way of securing your prefab. Traditional locks, after all, can be picked and the card key system is a lot harder to crack.

Because it is electronic, you can also rig it up with the rest of your security systems, such as your CCTV and your alarm.

Steel Frames

Steel frame prefabs, in particular, are made of some pretty secure materials. Other than being made of steel, they tend to be vermin proof, vandal-proof and leave little room for any other kind of forced entry.

It also prevents anything from getting out easily, so if you’re a farmer hoping to contain livestock, a steel frame prefab construction would be ideal for you. If you’re interested, visit our building specifications page for more details.
